How can I begin to explain the how confusing and on the same
time very interesting this episode was? For many viewers it was the first time
they have ever even heard about a Murder Mystery Party but the most intriguing
of it all were all the mixed signals and plots switch that occurred throughout
the whole hour on air.
Renzo as always having great ideas and handling every
problems with a smile and positive attitudes was the lightest part of the show
because everything else and every other character were all in the mix of very
extensive drama.
In the past 2 episodes, the writers and producers chose to
use a very few scenes in ASL completely changing the environment or
characteristic of the show. In my personal opinion, that was not a very nice
move just because, the show had a unique value when ASL was used in at least
30-40% of the scenes, but without it, the show, in my view, is just another
teen show like any other one. We love the characters already, we know the
switched story already and throwing new character and great new plots (like
now) is necessary, but couldn’t it be some new Deaf character that would be
involved in a new plot? At least, it would maintain the Deaf culture as part of
the uniqueness of the show instead it is transforming the show into a common
drama series which sometimes makes no sense to keep interested in. From the
preview of next week, I’m glad the Deaf actors will be back on scene.
WHY oh WHY do these 2 girls have to be in such a mess with
their love affairs all the time? Daphne doesn’t know who she wants more, Jorge
or Campbell. From the beginning she had already a crush on Campbell so it is kind
of obvious that she likes him more but since Jorge made the move, clean (with
no previous entanglements) she then suddenly started liking him too, why? Can’t
she be alone for a little? Just because a guy likes her, it doesn’t mean she
has to be with him, if she doesn’t really feel anything for him, because if she
did, she wouldn’t be giving all attention to Campbell
and none to him. Same thing happened when she went out with Travis..granted,
there was no other “choice” back then, but still why stay with him if she
previously said “they would never”?
Now Bay just followed Daphne’s story with Travis, she gave
the “just friend” speech but it didn’t take long she is already attacking the
guy. And it all happened just 2 episodes after she was still crying for Ty and
discovering she still has feelings for Emmett, now suddenly she is into Tank?
Come one girls, stay single a little, set your hearts straight, focus on what
or who you really want, be faithful to yourself. In this speed all that both
will get is heartbreaks and lots of pain and tears..either themselves or the
guy they are “playing” with. Not to mention the example that they are showing
to teens around the globe about changing guys all the time. In reality, some 17th-18th
teenagers are very focus and make their choice to keep their heads out of the
guys and into studies and career, and that what we would thing Bay and Daphne
being such well educated girls would behave too. It is always better alone that
in bad company.
I particular loved the fact that Regina really didn’t day
anything to Kathryn, not that she shouldn’t, but finding out more about the
whole John kissing story before she say anything would be a more decent thing
to do, however the way the writers put it, works a lot better than I was
expecting. What I wasn’t expecting was how Kathryn completely overreacts on the
news. J&K have been married for at least 20 years, they were perfect
together, they knew each other flaws and they worked things out. One small
mistake, that was not even John’s fault, should not cause her to throw him out
of the house completely. Maybe sleep on the couch would have sufficed if she
really was that hurt. Was I listening to almost the same speech from Emmett
when he apologized to Bay for cheating? It sure did sound like it. John words
were very much similar to what Emmett said back then, which made me thinking of
the connection of a long lasting love that is broken by a human, drunken,
insignificant mistake. Bay didn’t forgive him then, although it seems she is heading
to finally do it now (Oh boy, that is taking long to happen, but I trust the
writers and producers will find a way to really happen and not let us, the
viewers, hanging), I wonder if and how long will take Kathryn to forgive John.
Can I say Toby is the best son and son-in-law in the world?
I mean, come on, he just found out his mother-in-law kissed his father and he
helps his father sheltering him because his mother threw him out of the house?
Yet, he took all lightly and seems to have no feelings about the situation. I
wonder how his wife will act when she get the news of what happened.
Lastly, what is the deal with Tank and Bay? Are they? Aren’t
they? Their last scene was not really confirming the type of relationship they
will have. I guess we will have to wait until next episode to confirm it. Tank seems
to be a sweetheart, but the fact that he won’t give up on his fraternity for
Bay, doesn’t appeal much for her. As she said in the beginning of the episode,
he is different of any other guy she dated and she never thought she would date
a frat guy. Can’t wait to see what comes next for these two!
